Parafed Auckland – Para Sport & Recreation is New Zealand’s oldest and largest disability sport organisation. We lead a network of 15 sports clubs and activity providers catering for 300+ members. We are the lead organisation for all physical disability sport in Auckland, providing pathways and opportunities for beginners, all the way through to Paralympic Champions! As members of Paralympics NZ, we collaborate with them and many others in the sporting and disability sectors to achieve our vision and mission.

Last week we had so much fun at our Christmas in the Park with our Parafed Auckland family. Thank you everyone for coming along. Lots of fun games along with Access Community Health and some delicious food prepared by Olivia & Larissa. We've had such an amazing year and we appreciate your support and encouragement throughout the year. We look forward to making new memories in 2021. Our office will be closed from 19th December to 10th January and will be back on the 11th of January 2021. Until then stay safe and have a great holiday!

Para Table Tennis over the weekend was good fun! Thanks to our amazing partner Table Tennis New Zealand and the National Para Coach John Tuki and his team, we were able to have an 8-week Table Tennis Programme running for Term 4. Congratulations to all the winners of the Table Tennis Challenge on Saturday and everyone who participated. Well Done!

Parafed Auckland Awards Dinner 2020 Update In line with the recent update from The Ministry of Health and the government’s advice, we will still be going ahead with the Parafed Auckland Awards Dinner 2020 with doors opening at 6 pm at the Ellerslie Event Centre. However, we’re taking the safety of all our guests and staff seriously. We will have hand sanitizers and contact tracing readily available at the venue. If you’re feeling unwell, for the safety of others please stay at home. Further updates will be provided following the advice from the Ministry of Health. We have been excited and waiting for this event, so let’s have a great night and celebrate our athletes, members, families and partners. See you all tonight. Team Parafed Auckland
