I am happy for my information to be shared with appropriate providers within the New Zealand Para sport network in order to receive the most relevant information about Para sport opportunities in my area. (Examples include: Paralympics NZ, National Sporting organisations, Halberg Disability Sport Foundation, our local sports clubs)

Membership

Online registration for members. Members are eligible for scholarships, can register for free use of the Auckland Spinal Unit gym as a community user (conditions apply), are invited to our annual events and will receive regular updates from the office of Parafed Auckland and important national and international news.

Support us! Within Auckland only 19.5% of the physically disabled participate in sport and active recreation, against 35.5% of the non-disabled population. This shocking inequality is likely an underestimation, so the need to invest in quality, sustainable provision is clear.

Most disability sports (especially for those in a wheelchair) require costly equipment, (an average sports chair costs about $3500). Your support will help us to provide equitable access to our community - and this work makes a real difference! Our members enjoy tremendous benefits, physically, socially and emotionally.
