Adapted Strength & Conditioning Programme
Whilst 'Strength & Conditioning' may sound intimidating, this programme is anything but! Consisting of different body weight and resistance exercises as well as some cardio, sessions are designed to improve your fitness in a social environment where you can have fun at the same time.
The sessions run in 5 week blocks running at a South, West and North venue.
So, if you're after some motivation to get fitter for health reasons or are trying to improve your sporting performance - this is it! Why not bring the family along to join in?
The programme is open to all ages (8+ years), male and female, and caters for visual impairments and a wide range of physical disabilities including, but not limited to: cerebral palsy, spina bifida, spinal cord injuries, amputees and short stature. At the moment children and adults are mixed but once we have sufficient interest we’d love to have two separate groups.
With activities that can be modified for any impairment and ability level, this is perfect for anyone whether new to sport and exercise, those who already train regularly, or a family member who wanted to come along too.

South: Wednesday evenings from 4:30-6:00pm, Auckland Spinal Rehabilitation Unit Gym, 30 Bairds Road, Otara.
West: Monday evenings from 6:30-7:30pm, Crossfit Waitakere, 36 Bruce Mclaren Rd, Henderson
North: Thursday evenings from 4:30-5:30pm, Massey University Recreation Centre (Fitness Studio), Albany
