Classification
Sailing is a multi–disability sport where athletes from all the disability groups compete together. The system is based entirely on the functions required to compete in sailing. Athletes are allocated a class based on points ranging from 1 point (most limited functional ability), through to 7 points (the highest level of functional ability).
