Parafed Auckland Junior Programme- Third Quarter
We believe every child/youth with a disability should have the opportunity to try new things and to take part in regular sporting and recreational opportunities.
We want to provide a gateway for young people to try new sporting and recreational opportunities that they may have otherwise not had the opportunity to do so, with the hope that they go on to participate regularly in activities of their choice.
Thanks to our incredible Partners, Mountain Green Archery Club and Tri Star Gymnastics, we’re extremely excited to announce our third round of activities for 2019:
Mock Halberg Games
With a fun, friendly and supportive environment providing a great introduction to physical activities for our young people, there is sure to be something for everyone!
The programme is open to anyone aged 5-21 with a disability looking to have an introduction to new activities alongside other young people and their families.
Family and whanau are encouraged to attend and support.
What: In conjunction with the Mountain Green Archery Club, we wish to invite you to an introductory Archery sessions with their experienced local coaches!
This is a great opportunity to practice your archery skills before the Halberg Games this year, and to meet more of our fantastic junior members!
Date: Sunday 25th August
Where: located at 149-155 Royal Road, Massey (Under the Massey (Waitakere) Badminton Centre).
Cost: Non-members: $5 Members: FREE Or Included in your Halberg Games Pre-training package if you are participating in the Halberg Games this year.
What: Tri Star Gymnastics are hosting a fantastic Father’s Day Special for our Parafed Auckland group!
Head along for the perfect introduction to the sport under the supervision of the trained coaches and volunteers. Lunch provided!

Cost: Non-members: $20 Members: $15 or Included in your Halberg Games Pre-training package if you are participating in the Halberg Games this year.
MOCK HALBERG GAMES DAY
What: With the Halberg Junior Disability Games only a week away, come and show off your athletics and swimming skills at our practice event!
This day will be filled with fun competitions and a delicious BBQ! A great way to prepare for the official Halberg Games and a great opportunity for members who might not be able to attend the Halberg Games this year, to still be a part of all of the action!
When: Thursday 3rd October
Where: Kings College, Golf Ave, Otahuhu
Cost: Non-members: $5 Members: FREE or Included in your Halberg Games Pre-training package if you are participating in the Halberg Games this year.

We have partnered with the great team at the Cerebral Palsy Society and you can pay for any of our activities (including the gear rental) using your Get Physical Vouchers. Contact us to know how to use them.
